Breathe your best with the world’s first magnetic nasal band that opens your nasal passageways to their widest capacity, allowing you to experience full, deep breathing like never before.
Intake works by allowing you to breathe through your nose even at increased heart rates, unlocking a physiological process that helps your body build strength and increase resilience--even in the face of the most challenging training regimens.
We know this sounds like too small of a change to make such a big difference, but we’re not the only ones who are getting behind nose breathing
Because you’re breathing more efficiently, you’ll be performing more efficiently, whether you’re a hardcore athlete or someone who just wants to give their body the best edge it can get.
From cycling to yoga to weightlifting to running, Intake will be your most steadfast training partner.
Traditional nasal strips can't compare to the Intake Band. Intake opens your nasal passages far wider than nasal strips, stays on through sweaty exercise, and doesn't collapse upon inhale.

Clean each side of your nose with an included alcohol wipe to remove any dirt or oils from the skin.
Using the applicator, apply one adhesive tab to each nostril just above the pinch point. Press the edges of the tab into your skin.
Apply the Intake band over your nose. The magnetic ends of the band will “click” into the tabs, opening your nose.
There’s sort of a biological catch-22 when it comes to nasal vs. oral breathing
Generally speaking, our noses are more efficient breathing machines than our mouths. When you breathe through your nose, you’re able to pull oxygen into all five lobes of the lungs, whereas your mouth can only pull oxygen to the two uppermost lobes. This act of fully stimulating the lungs has a positive domino effect on the body, ultimately boosting blood flow and helping protect organs and muscles from damage.
Here comes the catch: During increased heart rates, our noses physically can’t inhale quickly enough to deliver air at the rate our bodies need. So, we rely on breathing through our mouths, which can deliver the requisite amount of oxygen, but can’t create the positive domino effect achieved through nose breathing.
Sounds like a problem, right?
That’s where Intake comes in. The Intake band keeps your nasal passage ways open at their widest capacity, allowing you access to deep breathing like never before. Intake ensures not only that you’re getting the most out of your workout, but that your body has full access to the processes it needs to be at its absolute best.
DEHYDRATING and IRRITATING - Your mouth can’t filter air the same way your nose can, so the air you take in orally can cause inflammation in your lungs and throat. Exhaling through your mouth can also contribute to whole body dehydration, as water molecules leave your body more rapidly: you can see this on cold days, when the temperature makes the water vapor visible.
UPSETS BLOOD PH - Nasal breathing balances CO2 levels in the bloodstream, which helps to keep the pH of our blood in its proper range. Mouth breathing decreases CO2 level, which in turn makes blood too alkaline.
CAUSES PERPETUAL STRESS-STATE - Breathing through your mouth causes hyperventilation, which triggers the sympathetic nervous system and activates our fight-or-flight response. When this side of our nervous system is activated, our focus drops and our stress response goes up, contributing to feelings of anxiety and depression--despite the endorphins exercise can stimulate.
INCREASE NITRIC OXIDE - Nitric Oxide is formed in the nasal cavity, and it’s vital to your body’s function. It’s a vasodilator, which means it allows your blood vessels to relax so that blood flow increases and your body is able to deliver more oxygen to your muscles and organs. This means optimal endurance and stamina, and faster recovery.
BOOST COGNITIVE FUNCTION - Nasal breathing stimulates the amygdala and hippocampus, balancing your mood and improving short term memory and focus. It also stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which is associated with feelings of centeredness and relaxation.
MAINTAIN HEALTH - Breathing exclusively through your nose protects your immune system in two ways: your nose filters particulates and humidifies the air reaching your lungs, which cuts down on inflammation, and the nitric oxide in your sinus cavity acts as an antimicrobial, helping to inhibit pathogen growth before it can enter your body.
Most of our users are professional athletes--but you don’t have to be to benefit from Intake. We’re not. We’re just regular humans who wanted to feel good when we were going for a jog or winding down with a yin yoga class.
The solution we found works so well that we want you to have access to it too, whether you’re an Olympic trainee or a desk jockey or somewhere in between. The idea behind Intake is simple: if you can breathe your best, you can be your best, no matter where you are.
The hours you spend recharging are just as important as the ones you spend up and running—if not more. While we designed Intake for high impact activity, many of our test phase users have also used Intake for sleep, and have reported feeling more rested and energized upon waking. Deepen your sleep, cut down on snoring, and utilize your breathing like never before.
After over a year of development and testing we are excited to offer the new and improved Intake Breathing System to Kickstarter FIRST!
The improvements to the Intake Sport Band:
Changes in Intake Tabs:
The Intake Band comes in sizes Small, Medium, and Large, and the sizing is determined by the width of your nose. We’ve designed the range to be fairly universal—if you’re of average size, a Medium is a good place to start. Based on our test phase users, we typically recommend a small for kids and teens, a medium for women, and medium or large for men.
Here’s where it gets a little more complex: if you’re wearing Intake for high-impact activity, or in a sport that requires goggles or a faceplate, we recommend sizing down. A smaller size band will create less pull on the adhesive tabs, making the band more likely to stay put.
If you’ll primarily be using Intake for sleep or lower-impact activities (for instance, a moderate gym set), we recommend choosing your normal size or even sizing up—the larger sized bands are less convex, meaning they’ll pull your nostrils open wider and allow greater airflow. However, this also means they’ll pull harder on the adhesive tabs, meaning you’ll potentially get less run time out of the tabs.
We get it: this is kind of a weird product. Before we started Intake, we’d all heard about the benefits of breathing through your nose, but we’d likened it to eating broccoli: good for you, but weird to do all the time. Well, we’re here now to tell you that nasal breathing is both good for you and decidedly not weird to do all the time. Actually, it’s pretty incredible
So, we’re launching a Kickstarter campaign because we think this product--while humble--is truly revolutionary, and we want to share it with you. Through our research and test phases, we’ve realized that having a little help breathing through your nose can radically improve your athletic endurance, your recovery, your mental aptitude, and your mood.
Our Kickstarter target is to raise enough money to make our production process more efficient. With support from our backers, we’ll be able to increase both the accessibility and affordability of Intake, and be able to develop different product models for our increasingly diverse customer base.
The faster we’re able to adapt to accommodate our growing market, the more people we will be able to help. Ultimately, this all boils down to one single, driving force: we want to help you breathe your best, because that means you can be your best.
